Mobile Developer

Role Description

As a Mobile Developer on the Releady delivery team, you will build and maintain our client's customer-facing mobile applications for iOS and Android as part of a customer portal refresh initiative. In this role, you will work directly under the technical guidance of US-based engineering leadership. While architectural direction and design specifications will be provided, you will be trusted to execute independently — taking clear direction and delivering with confidence across the full mobile development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Mobile Application Development:
  • Design, build, and maintain customer-facing iOS and Android applications, with a focus on scalability, performance, and a seamless user experience.
• Architecture Implementation:
  • Implement and maintain scalable mobile architectures (MVC, MVVM) as directed by engineering leadership.
• UI Development:
  • Build responsive, modern UI components using SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose in alignment with client's style and design guidance.
• API & Backend Integration:
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services using REST APIs and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Cross-Platform or Native Execution:
  • Implement features using cross-platform or native approaches (Swift/Kotlin) as directed by architecture decisions.
• Feature Delivery, OS Compatibility & App Store Management:
  • Develop new features, manage platform OS compatibility updates, and handle app store release management for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality, well-tested releases.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work in lockstep with US-based technical leaders and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with meaningful hands-on experience in both iOS and Android environments.
• Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin for native mobile development.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks — SwiftUI (iOS) and Jetpack Compose (Android).
• Solid understanding of mobile architectural patterns, including MVC and MVVM.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication within mobile applications.
• Experience with app store submission and release management processes (Apple App Store, Google Play).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills across development, staging, and production environments.
• Proven ability to work independently, take technical direction, and deliver with minimal oversight.
• Experience working effectively in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) to communicate seamlessly with US-based leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
• Understanding of mobile security best practices.
• Experience with performance tuning and UX/UI design collaboration.
