Progreso Latino, Inc(Food Pantry Assistant)

Requirements Ability to bend and lift light-weight boxes of food in the warehouse. English/Portuguese or Spanish fluency is a plus. Main responsibilities Receive food and ensure that all the products are combined and displayed accordingly for distribution. Help set up food stations: create the assembly line of products as instructed. Help sort the food for distribution as instructed. Help move tables, chairs, supplies as instructed. Greet clients and offer to help with their food bags or boxes transportation to their car. Assist other volunteers as needed with setting up food boxes/bags and during distribution. Maintain as ongoing safe operation of the food pantry in collaboration with the Food Pantry Coordinator. Bring back remaining products in the storage room while adhering to the RICFB food storage guidelines, clean-up, break boxes and discard as instructed. Time Commitment: 4 hours per week.
