Job Summary

The Commercial HVAC Sales Consultant will be responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships, identifying HVAC/R needs, presenting solutions, and closing sales with commercial and industrial customers. The ideal candidate has approximately 3+ years of B2B sales experience, with commercial HVAC/R or preventative maintenance sales experience strongly preferred. Candidates with strong B2B sales backgrounds may also be considered if they have demonstrated success with cold calling, prospecting, appointment setting, and new business development. This position is highly focused on proactive sales activity. The successful candidate should be comfortable making approximately 50 outbound calls per day and generating approximately two to four new customer meetings per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting.
• Conduct high-volume outbound calling and follow-up with prospective customers.
• Generate new customer meetings and sales opportunities.
• Conduct customer meetings and on-site visits to evaluate HVAC/R needs.
• Assess equipment condition, system performance, operational requirements, efficiency, and budget.
• Recommend appropriate service, maintenance, replacement, and project solutions.
• Sell preventative maintenance programs, service agreements, and maintenance contracts.
• Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and scopes of work.
• Explain technical recommendations, pricing, and project details clearly to customers.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through negotiation and close.
• Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline.
• Work closely with service, installation, and project management teams to ensure accurate job scoping and smooth handoffs.
• Assist with scheduling and customer communication throughout the sales and project process.
• Help resolve customer concerns and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Document customer interactions, opportunities, proposals, and sales activity in the company's CRM/ATS.
• Consistently meet activity, pipeline, and revenue expectations.

Requirements

• Approximately 3+ years of B2B sales experience; previous HVAC/R sales or commercial HVAC/R industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of generating new business and closing sales.
• Experience with consultative or solutions-based selling.
• Comfortable with high-volume cold calling and outbound prospecting.
• Ability to independently generate leads and set appointments.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical customers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Ability to conduct commercial site visits and identify customer needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively with service, installation, and project management teams.

Preferred Requirements

• Commercial HVAC/R sales experience.
• Experience selling service agreements or maintenance contracts.
• Mechanical contracting experience.
• Experience selling commercial or industrial HVAC/R solutions.
• Knowledge of commercial DX systems.
• Experience with air-cooled chillers and boilers.
• Experience with industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Experience selling both preventative maintenance and project work.
• Background in HVAC, mechanical contracting, facilities services, janitorial services, industrial supply, or a similar B2B environment.
• Established relationships within the commercial customer market.
• Candidates with residential-only sales experience or primarily manufacturer-based sales backgrounds may not be aligned with the requirements of this position.

Compensation / Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
• Sales incentive/commission opportunity tied to individual performance. OTE potential - $110K+

Location

This is a field-based sales position requiring regular travel to commercial and industrial customer locations throughout the Orlando area and surrounding markets.
