Position Description

Job Title: Loss Prevention Store Detective

Department: Loss Prevention

Reports To: Loss Prevention Department, LPM

Job Function:

Responsible for securing the surrounding area of building ensuring the entrance and exits remain clear of Hacks, and unsupervised children, and customer loitering. Enforcing policies and procedures described in the employee handbook, maintaining safety procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain professional and respectful communication with hacks and customers ensuring no blocking of entrance and exit. Providing designated area for Hacks. See (store) for designated area.

• Respond to cars parked in fire lanes, and immediate removal of customer loitering.

• Report any potential lot safety to the Loss Prevention Manager.

• Report any injuries to Store Management or Loss Prevention Manager.

• Ensure compliance at store level with all local, state and federal (OSHA) safety regulations.

• Observe all store rules and company policies.

• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by LPM

Standards

• Observe all company rules and policies.

• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.

• Comply with all safety, security and health/food safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain good communications both up and down the organization.

• Comply with grooming and dress code according to company standards.

• Observe security standards, staying alerts.

Requirements:

• The ability to read, interpret, analyze and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency.

• Perform general housekeeping duties in work area.

• Work in all types of outdoor elements, (rain, snow, wind etc.….)

• The ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient and satisfactory manner that meets minimum standards for productivity, accuracy, cleanliness and safety.

Physical Requirements

• Possess sufficient physical mobility and agility to respond quickly to fire, alarms and other emergencies.

• Must be able to lift heavy objects occasionally.

• Must be able to greet and communicate in a respectful non-threatening verbal tone.
