Advancing inclusive communities where every person, regardless of circumstances, has the right and opportunity to live their best life is our mission, and our mission is what drives us and is at the heart of our services and programs.What are we looking for?We are looking to add an Incident Management Coordinator to the Quality Assurance TeamYour overall essential responsibilities will be the following:Management of DC Incident Management CoordinationReporting GERs to MCIS for Reportable Incidents or Serious Reportable IncidentsLiaison for DDS IMEU Representative and maintain rapport and clear communication with DDS Quality Assurance and Improvement divisionEnsures staff compliance with all acceptable incident management practices and proceduresEnsures that proper written documentation has been prepared for all unusual incidents;Ensures that incident reports are written by staff members by the end of their shift;Cooperates with investigation procedures as per state regulationsReviews and responds to SJCS report card from DDS to ensure accuracy in reporting;Ensures compliance with notification requirements and timely submission to funding agencies;Trains staff on Incident Policy, Incident Reporting and required trainings as established byDDS Incident Management Division;Coordinate staff training events as delegated by DDS for the IMCAttend DDS IMC monthly and as needed meetingsComplete Reportable Investigations reports, submit to DDSSubmit Incident Recommendations to MCISManage tracking and trending for incident reportsFollow up on Incident Recommendations for investigationsCoordinate with QA to create internal Incident Management tools, processes, and proceduresCoordinate with QA for Corrective Action Plans of IncidentsStaff training for Incident Management to include NEO, ongoing trainingOther job duties as assignedYou will catch our eye if you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:1. Ability to gain thorough knowledge of St. John’s Community Services policies and procedures;2. Ability to act as a representative of St. John’s Community Services to the public;3. Thorough knowledge of program practices and procedures;4. Ability to develop and maintain a working knowledge of local, federal, and program regulations;5. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates, subordinates, representatives from other agencies, and the general public6. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds;7. Ability to effectively supervise, train, evaluate and communicate with program staff;8. Ability to research, prepare, review and maintain reports and documents;9. Ability to use sound judgment when making decisions;10. Ability to pass a criminal background check; and11. Skilled in the operation of relevant computer systems, including hardware and software, and office machines.12. Able and willing to complete duties as directed and model professional behavior.Experience, Education, and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field required; Master’s degree preferred;Two or more years’ direct service experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, preferably in a community-based program setting;Must meet the standards of a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).One-year supervisory experience preferredMust meet SJCS and funding jurisdiction current requirements for criminal background/records check.All SJCS employees must:Obtain a valid health certificate to meet SJCS or current funding authority requirements as required.Meet SJCS and the funding authority requirement of criminal background and record checks.Physical and environmental conditions include:Work requires no unusual demand for physical effort.Schedule requires flexibility. Schedules will be designed in advance to meet the various needs of the programs and investigations. Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week. Incident investigations may require work, research and follow up outside of normal business hours.
