Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical OT unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using Cerner electronic health records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Prior experience with CDCR or Cerner is required
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care throughout the 26-week assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
- Familiarity with CDCR documentation and workflows
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
