Now hiring packers in Portland, IN. Pay rate is $17.25 per hour. Shifts are from 2 PM to 10:30 PM or from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The daily grind includes packing plastic bottles and containers according to production standards, visually inspecting bottles for defects and quality issues, assembling and preparing boxes for packaging, operating grinders and processing materials as needed, using hand tools and secondary equipment, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures, reporting safety, quality, or production concerns promptly, verifying that the correct supplies, labels, cartons, closures, and coloring materials are available and being used, ensuring all required production documentation is accurate and available at the machine, completing production reports accurately and on time, communicating effectively with team members and supervisors, and staying detail-oriented while inspecting products and completing documentation. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable attendance and commitment to meeting production goals.
