Chief Hospitalist - Clinical Leadership Role at Banner Desert Medical Center

The Chief Hospitalist will serve as a key member of facility leadership, providing strategic direction and operational oversight while driving exceptional patient outcomes- all in alignment with Banner Health's mission: "Making healthcare easier, so life can be better."

Chief Hospitalist Opportunity Details:

• 70% Clinical (10.5-12-hour shifts/month)
• 30% Admin Responsibilities
• Serve as the physician leader for 50 hospitalists, driving quality, operational, and patient experience outcomes.
• Mentor, coach, and develop hospitalist physicians while fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Lead physician recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Partner with hospital leadership, medical staff, and community physicians to achieve organizational goals.
• Oversee key performance metrics, including quality, throughput, length of stay, patient satisfaction, and compliance initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the hospitalist team and organizational leadership.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

2-3 years of Hospital Medicine Leadership preferred
