• Create customized therapy plans that meet both short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions, emphasizing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage with other healthcare expertsphysical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and familiesto cultivate cohesive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress outside the therapy space.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Document progress accurately and timely, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay abreast of industry developments through ongoing education and interaction with fellow professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
