Description

• Administer individualized speech therapy that hones in on communication, fluency, language skills, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with an array of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to implement cohesive and comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond the clinic.
• Engage in the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless care pathways.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
