POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Associate / Vice President, Capital Markets & Originations, will support the origination, underwriting, syndication, execution, and monitoring of new and existing investments across CIFC’s private credit platform. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with prospective co-lenders, strategic co-investors, banks, sponsors, and other market participants; executing syndications and co-investment processes; evaluating new investment opportunities; and supporting portfolio management activities. Candidates should possess a strong credit investing background, with demonstrated research, financial modeling, underwriting, and execution capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate, structure, syndicate, execute, and close new investment opportunities in partnership with the Originations, Underwriting, and Portfolio Management teams.
• Support the underwriting and due diligence process, including financial analysis, credit assessment, comparable company analysis, and preparation of investment committee materials.
• Prepare syndication and marketing materials, present financing opportunities to prospective co-investors, and coordinate responses to diligence requests throughout the syndication process.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, private credit funds, institutional investors, sponsors, and co-investors to support sourcing, syndication, and club investment opportunities.
• Contribute to origination efforts by identifying and cultivating new financing relationships, developing actionable market intelligence, and expanding network of investment partners.
• Assist in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new investment opportunities, including portfolio add-ons and secondary transactions.
• Develop and communicate market views on new opportunities and portfolio investments, providing actionable insights regarding market conditions, investor sentiment, transaction structures, and syndication dynamics.
• Represent CIFC at industry conferences and market events to strengthen existing relationships, develop new syndication and co-investment partnerships, and enhance CIFC’s market presence.
• Lead and support transaction execution activities, including documentation review, negotiation support, and closing coordination.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Consistent track record of exemplifying CIFC’s values.
• Demonstrated history of achieving both qualitative and quantitative performance objectives.
• 4-10 years of relevant experience in private credit investing, leveraged finance, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Formal credit training, preferably from a commercial banking, investment banking, leveraged finance, or private credit platform.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain external relationships with lenders, investors, sponsors, and other market participants.
• Strong financial modeling, financial analysis, and credit underwriting skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of leveraged finance, private credit, and institutional investor dynamics.
• Experience in reviewing legal documentation and supporting transaction negotiations.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
