Investment Banking Senior Vice President | Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging (New York)

Position Overview

Jefferies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Vice President to join its Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging (REGAL) Investment Banking team in New York. The REGAL group advises a broad spectrum of public and private companies, REITs, financial sponsors, real estate owners, operators, and institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raisings, strategic alternatives, and other advisory assignments.

The Senior Vice President will serve as a key leader within the franchise, responsible for driving transaction execution, managing client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and mentoring junior team members. The role provides significant exposure to senior executives, boards of directors, private equity sponsors, and capital providers across the real estate, gaming, lodging, and leisure sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory assignments, debt financings, equity offerings, and other capital markets transactions.
• Serve as a day-to-day senior client contact and trusted advisor to management teams, boards of directors, and financial sponsors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate executives, private equity firms, REITs, institutional investors, and other key market participants.
• Support origination efforts by identifying new business opportunities and contributing to marketing and client development initiatives.
• Manage all aspects of transaction execution, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, process coordination, and negotiation support.
• Oversee the preparation of presentations, board materials, pitch books, information memoranda, and transaction-related documentation.
• Coordinate across industry and product groups, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, and Sponsor Coverage teams.
• Monitor industry trends, capital markets activity, and competitive dynamics across the real estate, gaming, lodging, and leisure sectors.
• Mentor and develop Analysts, Associates, and Vice Presidents, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytical work and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced designation is a plus.
• 9-12+ years of relevant investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, real estate finance, or related experience.
• Meaningful transaction execution experience across M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Strong knowledge of the real estate, gaming, lodging, leisure, and related sectors.
• Demonstrated client management and business development capabilities.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and transaction processes simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing junior bankers.

Preferred Experience

• Direct coverage experience within one or more REGAL subsectors, including data centers, gaming, lodging, REITs, industrial, retail, self-storage, or residential real estate.
• Established relationships with public company executives, private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and real estate owners/operators.
• Experience advising both public and private companies on strategic transactions and capital raising activities.
