Distribution Center Warehouse Supervisor

Overview Candle Warmers Distribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to assist our Warehouse Manager. This position is new and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Manager with overseeing and performing the daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes, policies, and procedures, and adherence to safety standards. This role is crucial in maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy in our warehouse environment, ensuring orders are shipped on time, complete, and comply with guidelines.

Duties

• Supervise team to ensure orders are shipped on time, complete, and comply with guidelines.
• Perform all warehouse duties including picking, packing, shipping, taping, labeling, palletizing, loading and unloading, counting inventory, pulling samples, and use forklift to move inventory.
• Maintain customer orders in an organized manner for fulfillment teams
• Assist the Warehouse manager with all day-to-day department tasks
• Ensure employees are on task and remain productive.
• Coordinate with department leaders and specialists regularly
• Assist team lead & specialists in training new hires in job requirements.
• Assessing and adjusting labor to best meet the needs of the department
• Enforces warehouse safety rules and cleaning assignments
• Orders supplies for warehouse
• Coordinates with other departments
• Be a positive influence and uplift others
• Ensure department KPIs are being maintained
• Works with leads daily to ensure their teams are operating efficiently
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Maintain department reports
• Maintain and enforce company and department policies and procedures
• Give out rewards and recognition to team members
• Provides daily updates and reports to the Manager
• Identify and establish process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. (With manager)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to promote a productive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 + years of proven experience as a Warehouse Team Lead , Supervisor or Leadership role within the same or similar industry.
• 2 years of Warehouse/Production/Distribution Center
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
• Shipping Software, Shiphawk, UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager
• Forklift
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• English
• Physical requirements: Heavy lifting, standing/walking 8 hours a day, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying.
