Located in Melville, NY, our attorneys are recognized for their experience in complex commercial litigation, business disputes, real estate litigation, construction litigation, appellate practice, and municipal litigation. Litigation Associate We are seeking a motivated and talented Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience to join our growing practice. This is a full-time, in-office position offering significant responsibility, direct client contact, courtroom experience, and mentorship from experienced trial attorneys. Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs Conduct sophisticated legal research and develop litigation strategy Handle all aspects of discovery, including depositions, document review, and motion practice Attend court conferences, oral arguments, hearings, and depositions Manage an active litigation caseload with increasing independence Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts Assist with trials and appeals in both state and federal courts Will receive substantial responsibility, direct client contact, courtroom appearances, deposition experience and mentorship from experienced attorneys. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing 3–5 years of civil/commercial litigation experience Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills Experience drafting dispositive motions and conducting depositions Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage files Experience practicing in New York State and federal courts preferred Law Review and/or Moot Court participation strongly preferred Appellate experience is a plus Commercial litigation experience is highly preferred Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, together with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement/profit-sharing benefits, CLE reimbursement, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the firm.
