Position Summary The Physical Therapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services. The PTA assists patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function while ensuring a safe and supportive treatment environment. Responsibilities Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately and timely. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and treatment goals. Maintain treatment equipment and ensure a clean, safe therapy environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care. Adhere to all facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Education and Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current PTA license/certification in the state of employment.
