Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator Facility: St Joseph's Main and Children's Location: Tampa, FL Status: Full time Exempt: No Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM / Monday - Friday Weekend Work: None On Call: No Responsibilities Coordinating and leading the daily operations of the laboratory including scheduling and supervisory duties as required Uses independent judgement to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction we are able Prioritizes, delegates, and oversees all phases of the laboratory process Ensures all established processes, policies, and procedures for the laboratory are followed to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results are reported Oversees the quality assurance and quality management programs and ensures they are followed Follows up as appropriate with any deviations in the process Ensures ongoing laboratory compliance with all appropriate regulatory organizations and all facility and system wide requirements including monitoring proficiency testing Responsible for laboratory education and training of all team members, including orientation, acting as trainer, ensuring competency documentation, and being a resource and mentor Assists with gathering and monitoring data to achieve laboratory goals In the incidence of the manager or supervisors absence, assist with additional duties such as scheduling staffing, attending meetings, etc. Works independently and in a team Utilize Delegation, preceptor, and management skills Must have customer service and interpersonal skills Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills Have knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position Administrative and clerical skills Computer skills appropriate to position Performs other duties as assigned Regional Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coord The Regional Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator is responsible for supporting the technical and administrative operations of [clinical chemistry] across the BayCare system and using independent judgment to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction we are able. Prioritizes, provides solutions, and oversees all phases of the laboratory process, ensuring all established processes, policies and procedures for the laboratory are accurate, current, and followed by all facilities to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results are reported. Oversees the quality assurance and quality management programs and ensures they are followed and follows up as appropriate with any deviations in process. Ensures ongoing laboratory compliance with all appropriate regulatory organizations, and all facility and system-wide requirements, including monitoring proficiency testing. Responsible for laboratory education and training of all team members, acting as both a resource and a mentor. Assists with gathering and monitoring data to achieve laboratory goals.
