Database Administrator - HybridWhat you'll need to succeed as a Database Administrator at XPO Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2 years of database administration experience with Oracle Server Expertise in Oracle technologies, OCI, Exadata experience, Familiarity with monitoring tools like OEM Strong proficiency with SQL, Oracle partitioning, and knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (2+ years) Experience with Linux and shell scripting. Experience with monitoring SQL performance and tuning (plan, baselines, profiles) Experience developing PL/SQL Procedures/Packages and automation Experience managing the deployment of DDL/DMLs to the database Experience with CICD concepts Ability to assist application developers with SQL review Preferred qualifications: 4+ years of experience with database administration within Oracle Deep knowledge/experience in the following: SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle DBA tasks Able to stay current with emerging trends and database technologies Able to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications and maintain a thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to the position/business unit Oracle Database Certification Oracle Advanced Queues knowledge Data modeling skills and use of Entity-Relation (ER)About the Database Administrator job Pay, benefits and more: Competitive compensation package Full health insurance benefits are available on day one Life and disability insurance Earn up to 15 days of PTO over your first year 9 paid company holidays 401(k) option with company match Education assistance Opportunity to participate in a company incentive planWhat you'll do on a typical day: Work extensively with Oracle databases. Focus on SQL queries, plan review, and database administration. Be responsible for daily monitoring of SQLs performance, up-time and drive resolution to technical issues.
