Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting located conveniently near Essex, MD, close to the Baltimore County line. This position allows you to make a direct impact, working primarily with elementary-aged children, with select responsibilities in secondary schools as well. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting student growth and maximizing independence in academic and functional skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Occupational Therapy license (MD OT License) required
• School-based OT experience or a passion for working with pediatric populations
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of elementary and some secondary students
• Collaborative spirit and organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently

Outline of Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver both direct and consultative OT services to students across various age groups
• Document progress and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ growth in fine motor and adaptive skills
• Provide training and resources to staff and families, supporting carryover of strategies
