We are seeking a hands-on  Maintenance Technician to develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program for a manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for identifying maintenance requirements, creating preventive maintenance schedules and procedures, and personally performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.

The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically inclined, highly organized, and proactive about preventing equipment failures rather than simply responding to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans and schedules for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Review equipment manuals, maintenance history, and operating conditions to determine appropriate PM requirements and frequencies.
• Create detailed PM procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify wear, potential failures, safety concerns, and other maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment issues as needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of completed PMs, repairs, inspections, parts usage, and equipment condition.
• Track recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Maintain an inventory of critical maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and overall plant uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
• Experience developing or managing preventive maintenance programs is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality and production needs.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who  takes ownership of the plant's maintenance program . Rather than simply waiting for equipment to break down, this person will identify what needs to be maintained, establish appropriate PM schedules, and make sure the preventive maintenance is actually completed.

This is a  hands-on role : the successful candidate will spend significant time working directly on equipment while also building and improving the facility's preventive maintenance system.

Schedule

Full-time position. Schedule and overtime requirements will be based on production needs.
