Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Job Responsibilities and ExecutionEnsures that all computing of wages, withholdings and deductions for non-exempt employees is completed accurately and in a timely mannerMonitors payroll adjustments for all promotions, transfers, terminations and newly hired employeesProcesses manual checks as needed for terminations and discrepanciesReconciles monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting to ensure accuracyProcesses yearly tax formsAssists faculty, staff and student employees with making tax status and direct deposit changes in the payroll systemAnswers questions and assists in resolving employees’ payroll-related issuesMaintains metrics for overtime and timecard auditsEnsures that all timecards are completed, approved and submitted for payroll processingEnsures compliance with all local, state and federal tax regulationsReviews and processes all payroll tax adjustmentsMaintains payroll-related files and recordsConducts various payroll audits as neededAssists approvers with time corrections, time-off entry and any questions related to the timekeeping systemAssists with the investigation of problems reported by taxing agenciesService ExcellenceSupports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellenceModels, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamworkCommunication, Teamwork and CollaborationAssists employees and managers with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepanciesProvides time tracking training to all student employee supervisorsJob may require other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
