Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Lead CT Tech who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department. Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures. Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (HIS, RIS, PACS, Teleradiography, image reformatting). Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognize symptoms of IV contrast reactions. Properly identify patients, review orders and select scanning protocols to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT. Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume, including the transport of patients to and/or from CT as necessary. Work with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols, including dose reduction activities. Develop staffing schedules to ensure proper staffing levels relative to the volume. Perform staff evaluations, maintain equipment and place service calls when necessary. Perform employee evaluations, assist in orienting and training new employees and students, and address staff training and development needs. Be responsible for accreditation requirements and participate in performance improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school or GED. Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography. 1 year CT experience preferred. State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license, ARRT (CT), CPR. Strong customer service and critical thinking skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience. Image reformatting experience preferred. Venous access competency preferred. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Work Schedule Monday thru Friday 7:30 am‑4:00 pm Pay Range $39.96 – $59.94 per hour Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) United States of America (Non‑Exempt) Benefits Work life balance through nonrotating shifts.
