Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $17.80 / Hour Job Schedule Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues. Monitor access points and verify entry permissions in accordance with site rules, helping to control access to restricted areas and support orderly operations. Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining readiness to respond to security-related situations as directed. Minimum Requirements Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, corrections, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card/license is preferred. An armed guard card is required. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
