Medical Equipment Service Technician

Join a Growing Healthcare Technology Team An established healthcare technology organization is looking for an experienced Medical Equipment Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a wide range of biomedical equipment. The Role As a Medical Equipment Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining a variety of medical devices used in healthcare environments. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on a broad range of medical equipment. Diagnose and repair biomedical devices. Carry out equipment inspections, testing, and calibrations. Complete major repairs and equipment refurbishments when required. Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records. Coordinate external repairs where necessary. Utilize CMMS and service management software to manage work orders. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Candidate Profile Experience Minimum 3 years' experience servicing biomedical or medical equipment. Experience within a hospital, healthcare provider, OEM, or independent service organization. Strong preventative maintenance and fault-finding experience. Qualifications One of the following is preferred: Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related technical field. Military or equivalent technical biomedical training. Technical Skills Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience using CMMS or other service management systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Requirements Must be authorized to work in the United States. Ability to obtain any required background clearances. Willingness to travel occasionally within the region (up to 20%). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Experience supporting large healthcare networks or government facilities is considered an advantage.
