About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit License: Active state RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, NIH, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 Description: Winter jobs available! 13 or 18-week contracts are offered. Must be available to work a minimum of every other holiday. Traveler will be the first to float at the facility's discretion. The role may involve floating to different units or campuses based on needs. Daily average patient census is 31. Typical patients include those with heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, and COPD exacerbation. RNs must be capable of administering and titrating various IV drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone. Travelers are expected to float to the emergency department as needed to care for patients. RTO requests must be made with the initial application submission. There is a maximum of 14 days allowed for RTO per contract. Unit staffing may include interdisciplinary support from various healthcare services. Candidates must be comfortable floating among different units as necessary. Charting experience with Epic is required for all inpatient nursing roles. Travelers with past disciplinary action will not be considered. Failure to provide accurate information regarding past employment will negatively affect the application process. Candidates must complete necessary compliance lab work within 72 hours of signing the contract. EKG/dysrhythmia exams must also be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
