About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in Step Down or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac experience required Experience with CABG and valve post-op 1:5 patient ratio experience in the work history EPIC experience required Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting Description: The position requires cardiac experience. Candidates must have experience with CABG and valve post-operative care. Applications must reflect a patient ratio experience of 1:5 in either Step Down or PCU, or else they will not be reviewed. It is crucial to include this information in the application to prevent any delays in processing. ICU experience is not considered relevant for this facility; only Step Down or PCU experience will be accepted. Travel experience is preferred. The targeted patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:6. Candidates must have the ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Candidates should possess skills in managing high-flow nasal cannula and other respiratory support modalities. The role includes floating to other units as needed based on patient care requirements. Travelers should be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census during the contract duration. Candidates must comply with all floating requirements. Scheduled time off requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot be negotiated after an offer is extended. References are not required for this position. Candidates are requested to demonstrate appropriate skills in telemetry management and dysrhythmia interpretation.
