This position involves representing Appraisal Districts in civil litigation matters, not a collection role. Your Role as an Associate Attorney You will review essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery; manage a large caseload independently; make court appearances; manage clients; attend conferences; and perform some travel. Collaboration with dedicated staff on various litigation activities will include drafting discovery requests and responses, ensuring all legal bases are covered. Calendar and deadline management, and providing timely and effective advice to clients, will be part of your responsibilities. Clear communication with opposing attorneys and clients will be vital. What Matters Most Success in this role requires the ability to manage a large caseload effectively, write in an organized, clear, and concise manner so that legal documents resonate well with clients and courts, and have prior experience in litigation, appraisal, and valuation issues.
