Every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Block scheduling options may be accommodated (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday). Highlights: 13-week assignment at a 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center Emergency Department serving more than 60,000 patients annually with comprehensive services for all age groups Patient ratios ranging from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients Collaborative team environment with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff available 24/7 Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding Requirements: Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required Minimum 18 months to 2 years of experience working under highest professional license level, with at least 1 year in emergency department specialty Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed Proficiency with Meditech charting system preferred Why Join Us?
