Keep going.We are currently searching for a Payroll & Accounting Specialist, reporting to our Controller, to join our finance and accounting team and own accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, general ledger activity, and company-wide corporate card administration. Specifically, you will:Resonate with our mission, vision, and values as an organization and foster a culture of accountability within our workforce that reflects these valuesProcess full-cycle weekly payroll for 130+ employees using ADP Workforce Now including multi-state populations, auditing registers for accuracy of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings prior to each cycleAdminister wage garnishments, 401(k) deductions and employer match processing, multi-state payroll tax filings, SUI case submissions, and year-end activities including W-2 coordinationPrepare compliance reports including the annual 401(k) census and workers' compensation audit; generate the weekly ADP general ledger export and import the journal entry into QuickBooks OnlineCoordinate with HR and Finance to ensure new hires, terminations, leaves, and compensation changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system; respond to employee payroll inquiries promptlyAdminister ARM's company-wide corporate credit card program, including new hire training, card issuance and cancellation, user and GL category management, budget adjustments, and weekly non-compliance reportingServe as the primary point of contact for cardholders and the card platform, troubleshooting issues, resolving non-compliance, and coordinating system adjustments following platform updates or program changesQualifications:2+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environmentHands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll/HRIS platformWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements and compliance obligationsExperience processing wage garnishments (child support, creditor garnishments, tax levies) and 401(k) deductionsExperience with general ledger journal entry preparation and import into QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting platformExperience administering a corporate card or expense management program preferredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfort with AI tool integrations that support payroll and finance efficiency is a plusAssociate's degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience consideredWhat You'll Bring:Strict confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive compensation, financial, and cardholder informationStrong prioritization and time management skills, mastering recurring weekly payroll and GL deadlines alongside compliance reporting and card program responsibilities without sacrificing accuracyClear, professional communication with employees, cardholders, agency contacts, and internal stakeholdersAn exceptional standard of accuracy: catching errors before they reach employees or the general ledger and taking full ownership of your work from start to finishA compliance mindset: understanding the regulatory environment governing payroll and apply that knowledge consistently across all areas of your roleCuriosity and a continuous improvement mindset: look for ways to make payroll, accounting, and card program processes more efficient and accurate over timeWhat You'll Get:Besides working with a great team in a stable and fast-growing company, you'll receive a competitive salary, along with:Competitive medical, dental, and vision insuranceOptional life and long-term disability insuranceOptional voluntary AD&D and short-term disability insurance401(k)Paid time off6 paid company holidaysFlexible work schedule with one day work from home
