Junior Associate -Technology & Commercial Transactions (Chicago)

Overview The Advanced Media & Technology group advises innovative companies and investors at the intersection of law, technology, and media, handling complex commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory matters for clients across digital media, software, AI, data privacy, streaming, and emerging tech sectors. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating diverse commercial agreements, specifically SaaS, software licensing, API access, data processing, content distribution, co-development, and joint venture agreements. The role also supports transactional due diligence and client counseling in M&A and financing deals involving technology assets. The associate will contribute to client updates and internal knowledge management concerning emerging legal and regulatory trends in tech and media. Candidates should have a strong foundation in technology and commercial transactions, with experience drafting and negotiating agreements for software, SaaS, data licensing, digital content, platform partnerships, and media rights.
