Adico is a growing civil and municipal engineering firm with a simple philosophy: no project is too small or too large. We're looking for a licensed engineer to serve as consulting City Engineer for our municipal development-services clients — the go-to reviewer and advisor who keeps development moving while protecting the public interest.

What You’ll Do

•     Act as the City Engineer of record for one or more municipal clients, reviewing development applications: plats, site plans, construction drawings, drainage and utility plans.

•     Provide engineering recommendations to city staff, planning commissions, and councils — in writing and in public meetings.

•     Review drainage, stormwater, water, wastewater, and paving designs for code and ordinance compliance.

•     Coordinate with developers, contractors, and consultants to resolve issues and move projects to approval.

•     Support ordinance updates, design-criteria manuals, and capital-improvement planning.

What You Bring

•     Texas P.E. license (or ability to obtain by reciprocity within 12 months).

•     B.S. in Civil Engineering and 4+ years in municipal, land development, or public-works engineering.

•     Working knowledge of Texas municipal development review, drainage criteria, and TCEQ/TxDOT requirements.

•     Clear communicator who can hold their own in front of a council and be diplomatic with a frustrated developer.

•     Comfortable juggling multiple jurisdictions and deadlines with strong judgment and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

•     Prior city-engineer or municipal-review experience in the Houston metro area.

•     CFM certification or floodplain-administration experience.

•     Proficiency with Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or hydraulic modeling tools.
