Position Highlights • Location: Hampton and Williamsburg, VA • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Call Schedule: Light call rotation (1 in 4 weeks) serving as backup support to nurse practitioners • Work-Life Balance: No weekend rounds, allowing for true work-life separation • Provide inpatient palliative care consultations with focus on advanced symptom management • Lead complex medical decision-making discussions with patients, families, and care teams • Collaborate within a well-established interdisciplinary team including experienced nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers • Mentor and guide team members in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development • Robust program including 34 APPs and 5 Physicians with the goal of increasing to 7 Physicians system wide Benefit Highlights • Nationally competitive compensation package • $15,000 Sign-on bonus • $10,000 Commencement bonus • Comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Disability and more • 403b/401a Retirement Packages with Matching Contribution • Malpractice and Tail coverage • Paid Licensure Renewals • $5,500 Annual CME Allowance • Physician time off • Fully Integrated EHR (Epic) • 501c3, non-profit (PSLF Eligible) Requirements • MD or DO degree from accredited institution • Board certified or board eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine • Strong clinical expertise in symptom management and end-of-life care Why Hampton/Williamsburg VA: Life on the Virginia Peninsula blends coastal beauty, rich history, and vibrant entertainment into one unforgettable experience. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $212,534.40 - $244,296.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
