TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Must be able to read cardiac strips. Comfortable with cardiac telemetry patients. Experience titrating Heparin. Description: This unit provides care for patients with various cardiac conditions. Patient diagnoses include post heart catheterization, chronic heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and arrhythmias. RN staff will be responsible for reading telemetry strips and monitoring patient status. Charge Nurse is available 24/7 but may take patient assignments as needed. Patient care technicians assist with activities of daily living, and ratios may vary based on staffing needs. All staff are expected to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Self-scheduling is allowed, with weekend shifts required every other week. A holiday rotation schedule is in place for permanent staff. Travelers may be floated to other units based on patient needs but will only care for patients within their skillset. Proper scrubs are required, with a specific color designation. The focus on teamwork and support among staff promotes a positive work environment. The unit experiences a high volume of admissions and discharges daily. All RNs are expected to manage their admissions and discharges while seeking help if needed.
