JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Specialty: CRNA - General Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Wyandotte, Michigan Service Setting: Hospital-based Anesthesia Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: May 01, 2026 - Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts; occasional weekend coverage Reason for Coverage: Vacancies and leave of absence coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Mileage reimbursement only; malpractice insurance included PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult and Geriatric Case Mix: General surgical cases (adult patients) FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: RNs and Surgical Techs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days; temporary privileges available REQUIRED PROCEDURES General surgical cases (adult patients) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: CRNA certification (required) Licenses: Active Michigan RN License (must have in hand at time of presentation) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience: Epic EMR proficiency preferred Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice/license history; willingness to work varied shifts; local candidate; NPDB Self Query Report required at presentation Duties & Responsibilities Administer anesthesia for general surgical cases in adult and geriatric patients. Collaborate with supervising anesthesiologists in a supervised CRNA model. Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and post-anesthetic care. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and documentation in Epic EMR. Provide coverage for varied shifts, including occasional weekends as needed.
