Senior Process Integration Development EngineerManufacturing Development Customer Engineering (MDCE) is Intel's newest organization within Intel Foundry Technology Manufacturing (FTM). We bridge the critical gap between Technology Development (TD) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), advancing technology nodes from initial product qualification to high-yield production across multiple products while enhancing technologies for our foundry customers. MDCE is also chartered to develop new technologies on mature node infrastructure to bring new solutions to new customers at reliable yield and performance and low cost, and this is where you are going to play a role.As a Senior Process Integration Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in Intel's mission to develop these new semiconductor capabilities and seamlessly transition these technologies from development to high-volume manufacturing (HVM). Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of high-performing, cost-efficient, and reliable silicon solutions that power Intel foundry customer products while meeting the diverse requirements of foundry customers. You will also collaborate with Intel foundry partners.Working within Intel's Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering (MDCE) organization, you will leverage industry-leading tools, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and tackle complex engineering challenges that advance Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy. This role offers exceptional opportunities to drive manufacturing excellence, enhance yields and performance, optimize processes, and spearhead innovation in semiconductor technology.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Excellence & Yield OptimizationLead engineering projects focused on yield improvement, device targeting, and performance optimization across products and process derivativesExecute comprehensive feasibility studies and experiments to characterize processes throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring robust and reliable integrationUtilize big data analytics to identify manufacturing tool limitations and propose data-driven process improvementsTechnology Development & IntegrationCollaborate with other Technology Development and Yield Teams to develop, qualify, import, and optimize emerging semiconductor technologiesDevelop integrated process solutions encompassing module equipment selection, material optimization, metrology solutions and process design to achieve manufacturability, cost, and productivity objectivesExecute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and implement process customizations tailored to foundry customer specificationsCross-Functional Leadership & Problem SolvingPartner with cross-organizational teams including Device, Defect Reduction, and Yield Analysis engineers to identify root causes of yield and performance challengesImplement corrective solutions within established timelines while maintaining quality standardsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical insights and comprehensive support for foundry customer requirementsStrategic Innovation & AnalysisApply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning methodologies to analyze large datasets and extract actionable manufacturing insightsDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance Intel's competitive position in semiconductor manufacturingSupport Intel's foundry ecosystem growth through technical excellence and customer-focused solutionsLeadership & CommunicationExcellent leadership capabilities with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaborationOutstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesDemonstrated success in driving technical projects from conception to implementationQualifications:Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or in a STEM related field of study5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with specific focus on Process Integration development and customizationDemonstrated experience in large-volume manufacturing environments with deep understanding of manufacturing processes and platformsExpertise in device physics and/or interconnects and critical parameter controlExperience in big data analysis for identifying and resolving process and manufacturing challengesExperience in semiconductor manufacturing fundamentalsPreferred QualificationsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or in a STEM related field of studyExperience in project/program management and cross-functional team leadershipExperience in new semiconductor technology development and FEOL/BEOL process optimizationExposure to foundry ecosystem operations and customer requirementsExperience in yield improvement initiatives and high-volume manufacturing optimizationBackground in power-performance optimization strategyExperience in fabrication process engineering including: (lithography and advanced patterning, dry etch processes, wet cleaning technologies, diffusion processes, thin-film deposition, and chemical mechanical planarization (CMP)Semiconductor foundry experienceWhy Join Intel MDCE?Intel offers an exceptional opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and innovative environment.
