Come work for North America Central where your skills are valued, and your contribution appreciated./ph3Job Purpose/h3pUnder limited supervision, the Dispatcher coordinates and dispatches buses to ensure safe, efficient, and on?time service within an assigned geographic area./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliOversee daily routing and scheduling of buses; dispatch vehicles and provide timely route information to drivers/liliMonitor service to ensure on?time performance and resolve route or service issues as they arise/liliCounsel and coach drivers and monitors on frontline service and disciplinary matters/liliReceive and address scheduling issues and driver concerns; resolve directly with customers when appropriate or escalate to the Operations Supervisor or Contract Manager/liliManage heavy phone and radio traffic in a fast?paced environment/liliServe as the primary communication liaison with major contracted customers/liliAssist with charter reservations, billing, driver payroll, licensing monitoring, and driver hiring, as assigned/liliProvide solutions to pick up and drop?off issues and ensure customer satisfaction/liliSupport backup driver coverage or perform clerical duties while buses are in route/liliComplete special projects as assigned/liliAssist drivers with day?to?day operations and ensure compliance with operating contracts, company policies, and applicable state and local regulations/li/ulh3Minimum Education Certifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred/liliPossession of, or ability to obtain, a CDL Operators License with required endorsements and applicable state or local permits/li/ulh3Requirements Expectations/h3ulliMinimum three (3) years of experience in the transportation industry/liliManagerial or supervisory experience preferred/liliCDL may be required based on contract/liliStrong verbal communication and customer service skills/liliAbility to work early morning hours and meet strict deadlines/liliBasic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment/liliAbility to work effectively under time constraints and in high?volume environments/liliMaintain a professional and respectful demeanor with employees, customers, and the public/liliDress professionally and appropriately for a business environment/liliPerform all job duties safely in accordance with OSHA guidelines and applicable federal and state laws/liliFollow all company policies and procedures/liliProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office/liliAbility to use or learn internet?based systems, required software programs, and office equipment (phones, fax machines, and other electronic devices)/li/ulh3Why Join Us?/h3ulliBe part of a safety?focused transportation team/liliPlay a critical role in supporting students, drivers, and school communities/liliOpportunity for growth within operations and transportation management/li/ulpNothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
