About the Position

Job Title: Neuro Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown preferred - Ability to manage cardiac drips (no titration) - Experience working with a variety of telemetry patients Description: 1st timers are welcome to apply. This position requires floating between units. Weekends are required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Ratios expected are 1:4. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 379 staffed beds. The unit provides care for patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including TIA, stroke, and neurosurgical patients. The typical daily census is around 27 patients. The facility uses an interdisciplinary approach to patient care including collaboration with physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Most admissions come from the emergency department, ICU, or PACU. This is a fast-paced working environment with a focus on teamwork. The electronic health record system used is EPIC. Communication devices will be provided as necessary for performing duties.
