Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio during weekdays, 1:5 on weekends; 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period; floating between units may be required; no on-call

• Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds providing comprehensive stroke care
• Specialized 29-bed Neuro Telemetry unit with dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring capabilities (4 EEG beds)
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC charting system with 12 hours of orientation provided
• Diverse patient population including TIA/stroke, trauma, neurosurgical cases, epilepsy monitoring, and subdural hematoma
• Interdisciplinary team approach with IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy support
• First-time travelers welcome; 1-year contract opportunity with 48-hour workweeks approved

Requirements:

• Current RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios and telemetry/stepdown environments
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Skills required: titration of insulin drips, heparin protocols, management of cardiac drips (including titration), vasoactive drip management, and non-invasive airway management
• Preferred: Community hospital experience and Level II Trauma Center experience
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
