Shift Supervisor - Castle Rock Store

Pay: $20.32 per hour. Store hours: 9 am‑9 pm Monday‑Saturday, 9 am‑8 pm Sunday. This full‑time supervisory position requires open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may start as early as 7 am and run as late as 10 pm. Job Summary The Retail Center Shift Supervisor leads day‑to‑day operations, provides tactical and practical leadership to associates, and ensures the retail center runs smoothly. Essential Functions Monitors the retail center and addresses safety, customer focus, product flow, and aesthetics, either personally or through delegation. Employee Leadership Manages staff breaks. Redirects teams to cover call‑offs. Coaches employees verbally and issues initial write‑ups. Provides input on performance reviews and terminations. Facilitates employee purchases. Task/Functional Leadership Assists with opening and closing procedures. Verifies daily sales report paperwork. Counts drawers and transfers cash between drawers and safe. Assists with inventory processes: counting, entering, and verifying. Customer Focus Plans, coordinates, and controls customer‑service activities to maintain and enhance customer relationships. Acts as first escalation point for customer complaints. Serves as point of contact for turning down donations at Attended Donation Centers. Cross Training Maintains general store‑procedure knowledge and can fill in for emergencies. Ensures e‑commerce products are processed accurately and efficiently. Gets certified on pallet jack, walkie‑stocker, forklift, hand dolly, or other equipment as needed. Is prepared to maintain operations when Assistant Managers or Managers are absent. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Previous supervisory experience preferred. Two (2) years of retail experience desired. Other Requirements Knowledge of product pricing, trends, fashions, and seasonal changes. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to obtain certification in all employee positions through On‑the‑Job documentation. Ability to obtain walkie‑stocker and/or forklift certification. Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Maintains confidentiality and follows Goodwill policies and procedures. Proficient with office equipment and software (Word, Excel) and web applications (UKG). Manage corporate email and calendar (Outlook). Can withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 8 hours per day. Can work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays; overtime may be required.
