Accounting Manager- CPA

Our large Non Profit client is looking for an Accounting Manager ( CPA Required ) to oversee various accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. **Hybrid 3 days in Downtown** Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders as well as its not-for-profit and for-profit subsidiaries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Maintain and improve the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified. Review reconciliations prepared by Financial Accountants including bank reconciliations, investment portfolio, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Coordinate and manage external audit processes. Collaborate with the venture capital arm to report private equity and venture debt investing activities and track valuation adjustments resulting from observable transactions. Play a leader role in the ongoing NetSuite implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive system enhancements and ensure seamless integration with existing financial processes. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor Financial Reporting and Accounting staff of 3-4. Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency. Work collaboratively with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to help analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications: CPA required. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in a supervisory or management role.
