Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Manufacturer of Premium Meat Products in Fort Atkinson Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor . This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate leadership, drive, and a focus on safely producing distinctive quality products. Position Summary: Responsible for the effective planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of the operations procedures. This includes scheduling, training, and productivity of the employees; quality of the products; safety compliance efforts; equipment effectiveness and safety. Responsibilities: Ensure availability of materials based on projected requirements. Administer company policies, work rules, and labor contracts in a fair and consistent manner. Meet Quality goals relating to food safety and quality, as well as internal and external audit results improvements. Ensure work is performed in compliance with HACCP regulations, quality specifications, and USDA guidelines. Make recommendations for improvements to procedures, methods, facilities, equipment, and other matter relating to the effectiveness of the production areas. Coordinate and supervises activities of the personnel and determine work assignments efficiently. Complete orientation and training thoroughly, timely, and effectively. Meet all efficiency goals related to yields, labor costs and inedible. Provide effective leadership and direction adhering to safety policies and meeting safety goals. OH Costs (Indirect labor & supply costs) are controlled as directed. Complete administrative functions accurately and timely. Effectively communicates and collaborates with all departments. Must be able to work 10-hour days and 6 to 7-day weeks as needed. Accept special projects and completes them promptly. Basic Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience or Training: High level of organizational and communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct people. Technology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: Experience or Training: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in conflict resolution and experience working in a union environment. Technology/Equipment: Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
