Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician at NHR Florida

Overview Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician job at NHR, Florida. Compensation: Salary Range $200,000 to $240,000 plus benefits and wrvu bonus program. Location highlights include the gulf coast of Florida with access to shopping, entertainment, dining, boating, fishing, university access, and international airport access. Responsibilities Prescribe medications, manage pain and symptoms, coordinate the care team and case plan, and refer for psychosocial support. Evaluate and refer to complementary and alternative medicine (e.g., acupuncture) as appropriate. Collaborate with a dedicated team at each admitting hospital (physician, RN, social worker). Manage call schedule: 1 in 4. Current patient volume: approximately 100 office visits per month and ~5,000 hospital consults per year, with evening consults by phone and rare weekend hospital visits. Types of procedures: patient care planning, medication management, referrals as needed. Caseload: approximately 95% oncology, 5% other (e.g., COPD or other life-threatening illnesses).
