We believe golf is more than a sport, it's a place where relationships grow, traditions thrive, and everyone is part of the community.Job PurposeThe Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of onsite mechanical and electrical equipment. This role supports the safe, efficient operation of course and clubhouse facilities by maintaining equipment such as motors, compressors, carts, tools, and electrical systems. Working with limited supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic partners closely with the General Manager to identify maintenance needs, communicate equipment issues, and support planning and budgeting for upcoming repairs and capital expenses.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, tools, and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and operational manualsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and equipment issues to minimize downtimeAssist with clubhouse maintenance and support cart mechanics with adjustments, repairs, and fabrications as neededMaintain accurate maintenance records, including documentation of repairs, parts usage, and warranty workManage equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt of materialsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintainedCommunicate maintenance requirements, safety procedures, and proper equipment use to team membersCoordinate with internal departments to support events and special maintenance requestsResolve escalated maintenance issues and perform advanced fabrications when standard troubleshooting is insufficientTrain, direct, and evaluate the work of other Maintenance Mechanics as assignedOrder equipment and supplies with management approval and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and service providersEnsure warranty requirements are processed accurately and on timeMaintain familiarity with and adhere to all safety programs, policies, and proceduresImplement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as directed by managementPerform other duties as assigned based on operational needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredSpecialty or technical training preferredMinimum of two (2) years of related experience in areas such as reel grinding, small engine repair, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or a comparable combination of education and experienceStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeEffective problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsHigh attention to detail and thoroughnessAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentClear verbal and written communication skillsStrong safety awareness and compliance mindsetTeam-oriented with the ability to work independently when requiredFlexible, adaptable, and dependableWorking ConditionsWork schedule varies based on business needs; evenings, weekends, and holidays are requiredRole requires standing, walking, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and use of hands and fingers for extended periodsMay be required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focusWork environment may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, sharp objects, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicalsNoise level is typically moderateAmerican Golf Corporation is committed to equal employment opportunities for all.
