Staff Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist in maintenance of chart accounts. Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support financial reporting. Conduct general ledger analysis, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Perform monthly review of fixed assets, preparing the appropriate depreciation, amortization and asset disposal entries. Handle cash applications by accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies. Support audit preparations, including gathering and organizing necessary documentation. Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and efficiency. Assist in variance analysis and provide insights on financial trends.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 1-3 years of accounting experience, Law Firm experience is a plus Proficiency in General ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, and monthly journal entries. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Aderant, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
