Description

Summary:

The Tool Room Supervisor position requires managing tool and consumable transactions. Duties include but are not limited to filling tool and equipment orders, distributing PPE, checking tools in and out to jobs, cleaning and inspecting tools, and overseeing the day to day operations of the tool room.

Duties:

• Checking tools in and out to jobs
• Cleans and inspects tools
• Tags tools that require repair
• Responsible for returning tools to the appropriate location
• Properly labels new tools
• Maintain employee tool card records
• Responsible for inventory control of consumables and tools
• Keep an active inventory of all tools not located in the tool room...Batch Plant, Chuck Room, Pipe Plant, Off Line, and Maintenance Portable Box
• Manages min/max levels for all tools
• Communicates with members of management and production
• Manages monthly tool spend to stay within budget
• Order tool and consumable material as needed
• Write and submit purchase orders
• Performs monthly inventory to maintain accurate inventory reports
• Insures accurate inventory levels are met to fulfill orders
• Inspect forklifts before and after the issuing of the key to an employee.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipment
• Ability to operate a forklift and train employees
• Must be able to read, write and have knowledge of basic mathematics
• Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50lbs.

Working conditions:

Tool Room Supervisors are supervised by the purchasing manager. Employees may need to work and communicate with other individuals to understand any potential issues or concerns.

Work is performed in a warehouse environment and or office area. Work may involve moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.

About the Organization
Northeast Prestressed Products, LLC maintains office, manufacturing and storage facilities on a 28-acre site in Cressona, Pennsylvania strategically located near major transportation arteries. The plant, with 80,000 square feet of fully enclosed production area, houses prestress and precast operations, as well as all support activities.
