Kendal at Lexington is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our vibrant community.Why Join Kendal at Lexington?• Competitive pay: $18.00 - $20.35/hour DOE • Comprehensive benefits package. • Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & rotating every eighth weekend. • Campus-based work environment. • Meaningful work supporting residents in a vibrant community. • Supportive team environment that values quality, service, and respect.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces throughout the campus. • Perform routine dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, and restroom cleaning. • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with established procedures. • Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed. • Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection-control practices. • Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and use cleaning products according to manufacturer and safety guidelines. • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and needed repairs to the appropriate department. • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, visitors, and staff. • Assist with special cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as needed.Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Dependable, punctual, and service-oriented. • Ability to communicate effectively and interact respectfully with residents, visitors, and coworkers. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in a residential care environment.Physical Requirements• Lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while performing cleaning tasks. • Push and pull housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment. • Perform repetitive motions associated with cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping. • Work indoors and outdoors as needed and in varying environmental conditions.BenefitsExcellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life and disability coverage, 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off, paid holidays, wellness resources, employee assistance program, and voluntary supplemental benefit options.About Kendal at LexingtonKendal at Lexington is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community dedicated to providing a welcoming, vibrant, and supportive environment.QualificationsLicenses & CertificationsRequiredDriver's LicenseEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
