Property Manager

About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing residential property management organization, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a multifamily affordable housing community in Boston, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned property management professional with strong operational leadership, compliance, resident relations, and team management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance of the property, including day-to-day operations, staff supervision, financial management, occupancy goals, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, resident services, and administrative functions. Lead, coach, and supervise onsite office and maintenance staff. Ensure compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing program requirements, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain high occupancy levels through effective leasing and resident retention strategies. Prepare and manage annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance. Review property expenses and ensure operations remain within budgetary guidelines. Oversee resident certifications and recertifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Foster positive resident relationships and effectively address resident concerns Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of property management experience with supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, federally assisted housing programs, and applicable housing regulations. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, property operations, and staff performance. Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills. Strong communication and resident relations abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with property management software platforms is preferred. LIHTC certification and recertification experience required. High School Diploma or GED required; additional industry certifications are a plus.
