About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on an LDRP unit, supporting both mother and baby throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring data, responding appropriately to findings
• Manage higher acuity and high-risk obstetric cases with a strong degree of clinical autonomy
• Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech Magic systems
• Float as required to MedSurg and other areas within or near the facility based on departmental needs
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as determined by department needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery / LDRP nursing experience
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring
• Current ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and BCLS certifications
• Ability to work with significant clinical autonomy in a lower-volume, higher-acuity setting
• Openness to floating within and near the facility as outlined in the job description

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech Magic documentation systems
• Background working in small, autonomous nursing units with high-risk patient populations
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
