This position functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and directly reports to Surgical Services management. The Surgery Tech will support system-wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. Additionally, this role actively participates in the surgical operations safety plan as outlined.Required Qualifications:\n \n Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six (6) months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam), or two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three (3) years.\n Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.\n Demonstrates the ability to maintain a sterile field and ensure environmental safety.\n Demonstrates the ability to recognize and address sharps and fire safety processes.\n Demonstrates knowledge of surgical services and sterile processing.\n Demonstrates the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.\n Experience in surgeries support within the surgical team.\n Experience in life support situations related to surgical care.\n Experience in sterile field management and sterilization processes.\n Experience in supervision within surgical services (within ORT scope).\n \n Preferred Qualifications:\n \n Active National Certification as an ORT in Surgery or Certified Surgical Technologist.\n \n \n Integrated Healthcare Services Job ID #37511697.
