Adjunct Professor of Management and Organization

The Management and Organization (MOR) Department of the USCMarshall School of Business seeks to hire part‑time faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. Definition of Adjunct Faculty USC reserves the "Adjunct Faculty" appointment for faculty teaching less than full‑time at USC who are employed full‑time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester if approved by the dean. Full‑time freelance artist Lawyer employed full‑time at a firm Pharmacist employed full‑time by a pharmacy Consultant, entrepreneur, or CFO who teaches 1–2 classes a year for USC Retired person who teaches 1–2 classes a year for USC Definition of Part‑time Faculty USC reserves the "Part‑time Faculty" appointment for faculty teaching less than full‑time who are not employed full‑time in a primary position or career elsewhere. For example, a therapist with a part‑time private practice, a musician who books performances part‑time, a biologist with a part‑time lab job, or someone retired from a career who teaches less than full‑time at USC could be considered Part‑time Faculty. Maximum of 3 courses per semester (preferred limit 2) Teaching may be required at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. The MOR department is interdisciplinary; our 21 tenured/tenure‑track faculty members have backgrounds in organizational behavior, psychology, sociology, economics, and general management. Faculty teach at the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D., and executive levels. Part‑time faculty may be asked to teach courses in either Organizational Behavior or Strategic Management. Candidates should indicate previous teaching experience in those areas and describe other areas of expertise. The per‑course salary range for this position is $7,500–$17,000. Minimum qualifications: a doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in an appropriate area of study. Teaching experience at the college/university level is not required but may be considered.
