Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide inpatient respiratory care in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have adult, adult ICU, and general pediatric experience, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all procedures, assessments, and interventions thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies.
• Provide weekend coverage as needed, with schedule flexibility and no call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid RRT license with active credentials; CRTs will not be considered.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Proven track record of documenting all work history, including facility type and bed count.
